Overview

Google Meet includes an automated AI feature powered by Gemini that captures meeting notes and summaries. If you prefer to manage meeting notes manually or want to stop automatic notes from generating for future calls, you can disable this feature directly in your Google Meet settings.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to https://meet.google.com/landing and click the Settings icon (gear symbol) in the top right corner of your screen.

2. Navigate to Meeting Records In the left-hand navigation panel of the Settings menu, click on Meeting records.

3. Disable Gemini Note-Taking Under the Meeting records include section, uncheck the box labeled Take notes with Gemini.

Optional: If meeting transcripts are also causing issues, uncheck the box for Transcribe the meeting in the same menu.
