Athena - Delete Appointment

1. The appointment must first be cancelled. Go to quickview and click view apatient appointments hyperlink
2. Click on the Date and time of the appointment you want to cancel
3. Now click the check in option by the radio icon - This step brings you back to the patient check in page.
4. Now you can Cancel the appointment. at the bottom of the page and save.
athena will have you confirm the cancellation and pick a reason why.
5. If the appointment was checked in you will need to delete the encounter.
6. Go to the Clinicals tab and select chart form the dropdown options.
7. Click on the Visit Tab, find the open encounter that needs to be deleted.
8. Click on the double chevron to open encounter and select finish encounter
9. Next click Go to Exam
10. From the Exam section go to Sign-Off tab and scroll down to the bottom and click Delete Encounter
